About IBD Movement

Living with inflammatory bowel disease changes everything—how you eat, how you plan, how you think about the future. If you’re navigating life with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, you know how overwhelming it can be to keep up with the latest research, treatments, and news while managing daily symptoms.

That’s why IBD Movement exists.

Our Mission

We believe everyone affected by IBD deserves access to clear, trustworthy health information—without needing a medical degree to understand it. IBD Movement curates and summarizes the latest news, research, and developments in the IBD world, translating complex medical updates into plain language you can actually use.

What We Do

  • Summarize IBD news from credible medical journals, research institutions, and patient advocacy organizations
  • Add context that explains what new developments actually mean for your daily life
  • Build community by sharing stories, resources, and support for the IBD journey
  • Save you time so you can focus on living, not endlessly searching for reliable information

Who We Are

IBD Movement was founded by Ben Rogers, who has had Crohn’s Disease for over 22 years. After a year and a half battle with Fistulizing Crohn’s Disease and losing a significant amount of weight, Ben was directed towards one of the new biologic medicines at the time. This new approach was able to calm the Crohn’s Disease beast and allow Ben to get back to a semblance of a normal life. Over the years, he has endeavored to keep up with the news and new approached related to Crohn’s Disease, but found himself sifting through confusing medical articles while managing his own Crohn’s diagnosis. It became clear that the IBD community needed a single, trusted place to stay informed.

We’re not doctors, and we’re not here to replace your healthcare team. We’re here to help you walk into your next appointment informed, prepared, and empowered.
